Targa Top Leaking...
OK... I know there are a hundred threads on leaks, but this is a little different for me. I have two tops for my 2000 coupe, one of them is leaking (solid, not glass top) and the other isn't. So it isn't the usual problem I am seeing in the FAQ.
Simple question, can I re-do the weather strips on one of the tops? Is that something I can order from GM? How is the procudure done?
Thanks
Anthony

First off, make sure your "leaky" top is adjusted properly. Not all tops fit the same. Remove the plastic adjusting bolt covers, loosen bolts, then place top on car. Then you can see how each side tightens down. It should snug down evenly on both sides. I'm not saying this is your problem, but it's someting to check.
When I bought an additional top for my car, I had to adjust it to fit.

I agree - the top can be adjusted to fit more tightly to the car and that may stop the leak. I do believe that you can get new weatherstripping for the top if that's what it comes down to. Check with Gene at GMPartsHouse.

You can replace the weatherstiping but it's really expensive.
