Is it hard to convert the std electric antenna to the stubby 9 inch one they sell here on the forum for Z06s?

You can remove the entire electric antenna assembly (remove taillight to access) and install a fixed antenna assembly. A shortened antenna cannot be screwed on to an electric antenna assembly.

But you CAN buy a Camaro or GM fixed base and then get a short antenna

Why would you want to put some thing on your car that some one can get a hold of?

I simply put a in line switch. I can raise it or keep it down at will.

Why would you put one of those stubbys on? Asthetics? I like the fact that my power antenna is only up when the radio is on, & not when the CDs or iPod is playing. Just wondering....
