Need Shipping Help...I need to send a big package
I am trying to get quotes on shipping a transmission on a pallet to pennsylvania, but I just got off the phone with fed-ex and they quoted me around 330. I need to know if there are any other carriers that do this type of deal for less.

What is the weight? I think UPS only ships up to 125 lbs? Yellow freight does pretty well, but make sure it is on a good pallet and tied down tight if you ship by truck. Good luck!

For work I use a on-line site called Freightquote.com
Fill out the form and tell them where its comming from and going to, and few other bits of info, and then a call to an 800 munber to get a freight class, and you will get about 25 rates to choose from.
