Digital Climate Control (swap)
Is there a way to install the digital climate control in a vehicle equipped with the basic manual *****?
Any links or how-to's would be great appreciated, assuming it's possible. I've looked and come up with no answers.

Anything is possible. But I don't think this one if feasible. The inside dash unit is different, you would need one of those. You would have to wire the inside temp sensor, the vent controllers, and the blend controller. Plus the control unit has to go to the computer, so you would need a different ECM. Just parts alone would be roughly 800-900 bucks, or more.
As someone who has climate control, let me say......I can take it or leave it. If it didn't have it, I would care less about it. I've already replaced the right side actuator. Took an hour laying on my back under the steering wheel to fix.(try THAT one sometime ) And that's the easy side. Passenger side you have to rip the whole dash apart to get to.
It's just as easy to move a **** and keep your cabin how you want it.

Definitely the kind of info I was looking for, thanks guys.
It's not that it's a problem to adjust temp and all that, but I really prefer the look of the digital climate control over the really ugly large dials of the manual setup.
But...not worth that kind of cost or labor.

That is the same way I felt in my 94.

this is an interesting read. I intentionally ordered my 2002 WITHOUT the digital HVAC controller. Never liked how those types operate. Then when Yvonne just purchased her new(er) 2003 AE vert... I was further reminded as of why I preferred the manual controls.
Although I do agree that the digital panel looks more pleasing than the manual dials... I'm generally not looking downward - instead trying to adjust the controls while driving (which is extremely easy to do with the manual controls).
