What all are you wanting to do? Plugs, wire, fuel filter???

That is a good 6 pack afternoon

If you were closer to SA I'd say bring it to the house

It's really easy and not worth paying someone to do. It's also a great excuse to meet some new Corvette friends. If I were you, I'd grab a case of beer, pick up some munchies and the parts you need and take this mans offer, and make the 45 minute drive and learn something!

I will buy several cases if it gets new sparkplugs in wires in my car. It will be cool to have several Vette owners to get together and shoot the bull while the plugs get changed. Dealer said 450 for plugs and wires.

$450.00 for plugs and wires? It's time for you to learn to bond with your car, if you haven't already.

Even if you get super expensive iridiums that are $10 each and a set of plug wires for $100 ( which are on the high side ) thats $250 in labor. I doubt GM will use parts that good anyway. You could almost fly me out from CA and save money :P

HOLY MOLY $450!!!! I'd head on down to auto zone and pick up some NGK TR55's, theyre about $2 apiece. Get some stock spark plug wires from Gene Culley, might as well pick up a fuel filter too (if these nice guys are willing to help with that, its not hard but you get gas everywhere) and you're at well under $150 for parts. Buy a bunch of beer, pizza and some munchies and you're under half the cost, you learned something, and you made some new friends!

When I asked about doing mine, that's about what the local dealers wanted for the job. I just shook my head. Did it myself and cost of parts from GMPartsHouse was about $100 (iridium plugs and GMPP red wires).

yeah, thats what I think i'm going to do. JCSZ51, thanks for the offer, I have 88k on the clock, and the car still runs good. Getting together when the time is right, I think we have a plan. Do you know how to change the fuel filter too?
