Mine are being swapped out now,for cross-drilled and new pads.
The car has 60K on it and the pads had about 1/8" life left in them
if that gives you any idea.

120,000 miles and still had pad left. I do alot of h/w driving. Just changed them a week or so ago. Simple job because of the help you get from the forum.

Just bought my 00 vert (yellow/blk/blk) with 74,000 miles. As part of my project I am planning on changing both the rotors and pads.

my 2000 coupe with 52XXX miles on the clock has 20% pad left on front and 40% on rears - i'll be changing them out very soon.

this is one thing that the stealership will do for you free of charge - a brake inspection!

Really depends on how you drive the car. Take it to one of those shops that do a courtesy brake inspection (or just check it yourself) and see how much pad is left.

Just wait until the chatter plate starts squealing on the front brakes. You would then need to invest for replacement pads. If the rotors look OK, I'd go with them. If glazed are deeply scratched, lots of options from cheap to rediculous!

Easy job if you can handle some simple hand tools. Except for lug nuts, can all be done with sockets or box end wrenches. about 1/2 hour each wheel to R&R the rotors and pads. Very easy job.
