As part of the planning for the installation of a 4 post lift in my garage, I was considering the merits of installing an emergency shut-off switch. Since my ceiling height is limited, my thought was what would happen if I was raising the vette on the lift, the lift switch failed , and I was unable to stop the lift from raising. I had this "vision" of the top of vette crashing into the ceiling of the garage

Anyone install an emergency shut-off switch for their lift? If so, how did to you do it/what type of switch did you use and where did you locate it? I was thinking it should be right next to the lift switch . Pics would be great
