Default Found reasonably priced tires Z06

I recently purchased a 2003 Z06 and was very surprised with the limited tire choices. These were $1070.00 installed.
Continental extreme contact sports
255/40/17
295/35/18
They fit great even on a lowered car. Hope this helps.

While the fronts aren't the stock sizes, the Z06 tires are very hard to find anymore. Congrats on finding a set that will work.

Looks good. I like those tires, I ran them on another car as my DD tires and they did well year round, even survived a light dusting of snow.

I have the same tires. World of difference compared to the cheap all season run flats it had before.

I had those on my previous Vette. Great all season, but definitely nowhere the grip of their summer tire. Living in Cali, why would you want all season?

Bummer, could have picked up a new set of R888Rs for the same or less and really had some fun. Unless this is your daily driver and you see snow

Look where I live. Truckee Ca it snows here (unexpected snow even in July, not very often but it happens). I'v also tracked on them, they are not as sticky but are better than many would think. And I'm tired after 19 yeas of replacing tires every 7k "been there done that". I'll give up a point 0 in cornering Gs for 20k in wear, cold weather traction, great rain traction, quiet smooth ride. They work for me.

Sometimes I forget how ridiculously tall Cali is. We're actually at roughly the same latitude, actually you look a bit higher, closer to Indianapolis.

Anyway, I just remember my DWS (the predecessor to the DWS 06) tires breaking traction pretty readily in my bone stock C5. The Conti Sports hold up my newer C5's 450whp for the most part. Traction is decent through the winter as long as I don't get silly with it, or drive in any kind of ice or snow. I've got a old 4x4 beater for those days. I will say that I chose not to drive it on below freezing days as well, though the few times I did, it seemed fine.

One of those nights .

Yea I know what you mean. There are days (early spring or fall) when I've gone off the hill and come home to snow over the summit. (cold and slick), I' also have the same tires on our Audi, it seem to do much better then the Z in the same conditions (Wonder Why?) Oh yea AWD.

I'm normally not a fan of black wheels (I'm too old school), but the all black you have works well together. Looks like your lowered significantly- that looks good too. Any problems with scraping the front so far?

Yeah, I had DWS 06 on my old WRX STi. With the AWD, I don't think I EVER broke traction in that, even with ~400whp.
