How to paint a ding mark?
I need to get this fixed. Is there anyway I could paint this and make it look right? I don't have any painting skill or equipment. I would be using dupli-color and clear coat from a spray can if I were to do it. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreaciated. This is the driver's side front fender. Mudd

Get yourself some 2000, 2500, and 3000 grit paper.
Throw the sandpaper in a bucket of water overnight.
Then the next day you sand off the paint blob to make it smooth.
The water from the paper make the sanding easy without a lot of material removal and nice and smooth.
Then polish and wax

Not trying to argue, but I worked in a body shop for a couple of years. It is not even close to necessary to wait overnight for sandpaper.

Yes buy some wet/dry paper 800/1000/2000 grid. Water and wet your paper and sand, don't be super aggressive. Let the paper do the work. Keep your material wet all the time, some like to use running water.
