Default Alternator bearing part number

Tried this is tech section yesterday didn't get any answers.

Anyone know the alternator bearing part numbers for a 2000?

I'm going to paint it and I just read two great threads to plating/painting the case halves and figured I'd get the bearings to replace them while I was at it.

Thanks,

I believe that most captive bearings have the manufactures part number on the side of the outer race. Of course you have to have it out of the case to read it.

Did anyone ever come up with what the bearing numbers are? I realize I can pull mine apart and see if they're on there, but them I'm kind of committed to the repair or replace if I can't source the bearings. As you can imagine I'd much rather have the bearings on hand before I tear into it. That'd like make for a one day project instead of a one week one.

I've got an 02 with manual transmission.

Anybody have any idea?

Thanks,

Pete

I know this post is originally very old, but to the last poster here ya go. Mine is a 2000 valeo so im assuming it will be the same. Both state ENGLAND NSK one bearing is B17-102DG36, the other is 6202DW8. Google search didnt bring up anything for one of the bearings so prob not much help.

Thanks Nver2loud. I wound up caving and picked up a lifetime warranty replacement from the local parts house and naturally had to turn in my core.

I'm sure someone will come looking for those numbers eventually, so good to have them either way!
