Here's why you shouldn't PARK head-on with others
Saw this nice-looking 03' Z06 at the local Shop Rite. I walked up to take a closer look at it and saw this. I snapped a quick pic with my cell phone. I hope the owner came out and saw it before the other person left. The SUV's plate AND bumper was resting on top of the

You all know the C5 has a long front end, It is possible the driver of the Vette did this.....Don't count that out.... It could of been done and he/her didn't feel a thing.

2nd in line on that parking far away.
BUT.....You know you have to get that occasional J**k-off that still has to park right on top of you EVEN being parked far away when there are clearly other open spots in eye shot.
I highly doubt any vetter driver would do that. The vette would see the SUV rock, The SUV could miss the vette rock. Either way it is a very selfish careless S.O.B.

Melting Slicks
Made me think of a C5 I saw parked at a restaurant a few weeks ago. They had pulled so far up to the curb that the air-dam was peeled off and the curbing had done damage to the pain underneath. Some people just don't realize the limited space under our cars. So, it is possible the incident in the original post was caused by an errant C5 driver. Still, I'd be sick ig it happened to me. Or worse, I knew it was my own fault.

Check the white line. Even if the Vette was there first he parked VERY close to the line and was inviting this event. Best idea, if you must park in a spot like this, is to leave at least a couple feet of space between your bumper and the white line.

Dang! That sucks. I use to park as far as possible until 1 day in the walmart parking lot. I was parked out in the boonies sitting in my car getting ready to get out, luckily I was talking on the cell phone with my wife and noticed a car cutting across the parking lot not paying attention. If I was not in the car to honk my horn my Corvette would of been smashed. For some reason people tend not to pay attention out in the boonies due to the fact no one ever parks out there expect 1 car. So caution to everyone be careful parking way out in no mans land. I now tend to park close enough to where people have to pay attention.

True story...years ago when I first moved to Florida in 1999, I was at the gas station filling up, when a late-model Cadillac pulled into the pump area directly behind me. Well, Mr. AARP stopped when he bumped into my car. Got out and started pumpin gas...no clue. There was no damage as he was going 0mph and it was a bump, but still.
I whispered to myself...'Welcome to Florida'...

Kinda off the subject, but kinda not. Would it be a good idea to discretely install either a camera or some sort of proximity detector on the front of the car? I can't stand it when my front end hits those freakin' parking blocks and or curbs.
