Sounds like a good product. Once the ordering problems are cleared up, will consider getting one.

Workaround re: Southern Car Parts site issue when trying to do checkout process
UPDATED Sep 7 5:05 PM CST: SITE FIXED
NOTE: Workaround is no longer needed. The site has been fixed.
===========================
WORKAROUND I was able to overcome the checkout processing error and succesfully post my order on the site.
See my post, in the C6 section, for details of my workaround --> http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...5&postcount=16
Note: I am not affiliated with SCP at all. I am just trying to "pay it forward" for all the help I've received from this forum :-)
Best Regards,
Cindy (luvmyc6)

well hopefully...
hopefully southern car parts checks their links/forum posts. This way they will realize their website has errors on it and they won't be "wasting their hard earned supporting vendor money".
It takes two to tango...you need reliable customers to buy your products and you need a vendor to check up on their threads. All it takes is one complaint and you lose tons of business. This is the up and downs of becoming a supporting vendor. You really have to stay on top of your business and customers and that means spending a lot of time on here monitoring your threads.
Its the weekend so its not even been a day since he posted this, I say give them time and let them fix the problem.

You guys make it sound like a competing, non-supporting vendor was butting in.
He offered a simple opinion on what he does, with no ulterior motive, and one in which he does not profit from.
He has apologized profusely for "butting in".
While I don't consider the OP a case of "corvette tax", I am always open to alternatives, which the so called "throat cutter" offered.

Site should be working fine now....Sorry about all the drama surrounding site.
anyway, we have shipped out over 400 in the last week to forum members (sold out right now but have more coming this week).
Let's sit back and see what the feedback is. I betcha, I just made 400 people believers in the Ultimate Cloth
Thanks,
Jim

This is a PUBLIC forum where if one guy has a product to offer cheaper than another guy, shouldn't the other guy adjust his price? That's how we get competitive prices. No competitive prices = corvette tax.
