Default Getting glue off the bumper

My rear Corvette letters were starting to lift in the corners, previous owner installed. When I pulled them off to clean the area I found that somone had used some sort of glue to help hold them on.

I have used rubbing alcohol but not all of the glue is coming off, its hard and yellowish in color. Anyone have any other suggestions for removing this?

I am conisdering the black chrome letters.

Goo Gone from Home Depot or most places seems to work pretty good. Absolutely 3M Adhesive Cleaner spray will work too, and will not harm the finish.

You might try an adhesive remover. I use it on my rims to get road tar off. I tried it on the recommendation of other members here and it works great.

I know this scare some, but a little dab of gasoline can work. Gas in of itself won't hurt the finish, its how hard and long you scrub in one area.

You could also try WD40. I've used it to remove tape residue.

Claybar also will pull up a lot of junk in the paint!
