What is the other wire with engine ground strap?
I found this on another thread... "G105 left lower engine block, engine ground strap & wire".
What is the other wire that is there with the engine ground strap?

...and the rest of the story...
We installed new LG headers this weekend. One of the tasks is to remove the ground strap to enable the removal of the drivers side manifold. When I did that, there was another connection at that same ground point that popped off and I did not realize it at the time. Well, after it was all back together she would not run at all. After careful inspection, the connection was found and reconnected (it was a hot lead and sparked), and she fired right up. It was a lucky find and a thankful fix!!!
So, I was just wondering why a hot lead would be connected with the engine ground strap, and what it was.

You probably had the key on when you were connecting the wire, causing the sparking when you completed a circuit. That wire grounds the fuel pump relay, oil level switch, and your O2 sensors, which is why the car would not run.
For future troubleshooting, here's a list of all the ground points and what they ground.

Here's some pics of most ground connectrions so you know what to look for.

I did have the key in the ignition (not swithed on) as I had tried several fixes trying to start it. That gound points make sense. It would start, but seemed to be starving for fuel which explains a lot.
THANKS!!!
