So this weekend I went to FtWorth to swap x-pipes with Joe, great guy to deal with. While there I contacted another guy who had wanted to swap interrior.

a month ago a member inquired about swapping his modred for my black. I jumped at the chance. contacted the member several times, talked via PM. Sent him the pics of my interrior that day as asked. I asked him to send pics to no avail. no big deal. It took this long for us to finally get together.

(fastforward)

So i get intouch with him and let him know I am near his area and that today would be a good day to swap if he was still interested. He said he was but was worried about his seats, that they might have too much wear on them. I said if anything we could do the rest and we will look at the seats. he said ok and to contact him when I was finished at Joes. I call him to find out exactly where he was when I was done.

He was heading out to eat with hi GF so I got the directions and said no biggie, ( i was hungry too ) that I was going to stop and eat so it would be a while. He was north of me in Plano ( 64 miles from where I was ) He asked that I call when I was about 10miles out to give him enough time to get there. ( no biggie )

I called at 15 miles out and let him know I was getting some food. He said great that he would meet me there. 30 min later i arrived and called him with my location. He said " dang your there allready. Give me about 10-15 min to get there" Sure, no big deal. 35 min later he shows, I look over his interrior, liked it. He looked at mine but said it was his GF decision. Whatever she wants..( HUH?? ) well she didnt want black so no deal

This is what gets me.....Weve talked about this for over a month. I even called when there and you said ya, still interested. Had he or she not seen black interrior before?? Mine is in no way crappy, just black.

Maybe im just out of my mind for being a lil upset, but it wasted a few extra hours and fuel and over 120 miles out of my way for nadda.


Oh well, live and learn i guess. Just thought I would share

I would be upset too. Sounds like he used the GF as an excuse not to trade with you.

Dont get me wrong, Im not mad that he didnt trade,it his stuff, just that he wasted my time on a decision that he would not make. If it were her decision I would have thought that in the course of the month he would have shown her the pics i sent or another car with black interior and said hey, whaddaya think. Then tell me no. That would be cool with me. Fuel and recovery from Ike is tight right now.Ehhhhhh

Kind of off topic here, but I've done legal firearm sales in where I drove to the persons house and then they tell me "Just wanted to see what it looked like"



Can certainly be frustrating, especially when driving that far.

I might not have felt "as bad" If I hadnt brought a friend, ( whos wife I severly pissed off by taking him ) and we didnt get back till midnight.

On a side note, the car is actually comfortable to drive for long distance

(hopefully my Romanian hooker for the night doesn't back out of the deal...*fingers crossed*)

yah jerry, i agree with fuel prices the way they are I would be upset too, well hopefully another person will come around and offer you the same deal..this time no flake out becuase of a GF

That sounds entirely like to me. I would be angry too if I wasted my time and gas. Everyone knows what black interior looks like.

If he didn't want to trade, he should have never offered.

I feel for you, I had an individual decide not to sell me his TA that I was helping my son get and we drove to Houston from San Antonio with Cashier's Check in hand, was he really bummed and I ate the whole trip and I was really pissed off

Gonna take the other side. He said he was interested, and after some mis-ques on timing and meeing up, maybe the idea in his head didn't match what he finally saw in person.

There was never a FIRM offer to trade or swap. Idle chat and when the time came, it was his perogative to say Yea or Nea. He chose the later..... So what.

You didn't go there with the specific purpose to change seats. you went for exhaust swap and that was a sidetrack issue.

I may have done the same thing... And, truth be known, you are probably better off without the trade (or at least with that guy) on the seats......

Write it off.. Game Over....

mmmmmm....I thought it was meeee, but I see there are others who don't like all black interiors. Mine is all black & I really don't like it.
I am use to having 2 colors inside. (black & silver or cream color)
