CAUTION THESE PHOTOS CONTAIN VIOLENT IMAGES: VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED.
Then again it is only a chevy.
Long story short: Launch hard, 9 pounds of boost, hook up the tires......somethings going to give. I did get wicked wheel hop. None of my cases cracked.
I was running 335 Michelin Pilot Sports (at Orlando Speed World 3 days after the world street nationals were there, VERY STICKY), a fresh torque tube with new bearings, and two aluminum couplers. Diff with hardened left side output shaft, stock transmission, with DTE brace. Neither the transmission or differential cases cracked, probably thanks to the DTE brace. I didn't leak a drop of fluid on the track after the failure.
I took everything apart yesterday. Here are the results. The output shaft of the transmission sheared in two places. I'm going to rebuild the transmission with a Lingenfelter hardened output shaft.
The differential needs to be inspected further, but it will probably end up being a core for something new.
So if anyone has any parts you think I'd be interested in shoot me a line.

Nice.... Hey, did DTE ever put out that steel diff case? You may want to look into that bud.
What kind of tires did you have, and did it wheel-hop when you gave it the beans?

I would poop a pickle if that happened to my car, LOL. Well, if you're not cracking something, you're not pushing the envelope, I guess. My wallet, though, can't afford the envelope. Sounds like you're having a great time, too!

Sorry to see that happen to ya. Hope you get it all repaired soon. Do I understand you correctly that this happened with Pilot Sport street tires? I run the same 335 tires on mine (633 rwhp).
