Am I crazy?
After I recently sold my c-5 I have been looking at new and used c-6 vettes and I just cant really get all that excited about them! I can afford a new one but to me the c-5's seems to be a much cooler looking car. Is there any one else that would rather have a c-5 or am I nuts?
i know the c-6 is faster [stock] but I cant seem to justify spending
$20,000 more for a new c-6 than a real nice c-5 coupe.
Am I alone in this insanity? Dave
P.S. I have been sick ever since I sold my 97 coupe.

I haven't been too thrilled with the C6 yet either. Thats why I'm keeping my C5. If I were you, just find a newer C5 like an 03 or 04. I've seen several low mileage ones in the mid 20's. Good luck.

I guess I am the loaner here, I didn't like the C6 at first, But now after driving a few I would have a C6 if it was in the budget for sure, The C5 is a great looking car I agree, But it is starting to show its age, The C6 is a great machine.
imo.

I feel the same way. I dropped $30,000 in my 2000 C-5 and it is very fast (510 rwhp). I am installing an ACP Z-11 fiberglass body kit and extractor hood. I plan on painting it a Dupont satin finish black. The C-6 is really beautiful but no more so than our C-5s.

I've been trying to like them(c6) to, but they just don't do it for me. I have an 01 coupe modded that I will be selling next year. I plan on getting a C5Z, hopefully an 04 add a blower/headers and wheels and be done with it. C6 is just too bland. Now the C6Z is a different story if I could afford one

I like both the C5 and the C6 and wouldn't mind having either one. But, if you can find a really nice, low mileage C5 for the right price, that would be my choice. Saving a ton of money on the car means more $$$s for modding.

Same here, it's hard to improve on a C5, BUT a black,C6 ZO6 is pretty 'effin cool, if I was gonna change sides that would be my only choice. JOE

Man we've just talked this subject to death but I agree the C5 looks better.

Gotta C5, Gonna ADD a C6 Z06 someday, keeping the C5, Can't beat those lines although I have to admit the C6 is a more refined version of our American Icon!

I'm with Bill... If I were replacing my Vette I'd go for the newer tech of a a C6. I think that stock some of the colors can look a little boring, but the right colors with the right subtle visual mods make the C6 look great.
