Your cars leading up to the C5?!
Just curious...which cars did you have prior to the Vette. Here's my short history
Let me start with my current baby
I've had the Jeep ZJ for EVER (at least it seems like it ) Still my DD:
Sold the Jeep TJ a few weeks ago. Fun little vehicle for the summer. Over 7" of lift with 37"MTRs:
Here's my first "real" sports car, a 98 black Mustang GT 5 speed. LOTS of fun, I can tell ya. Sold it last Christmas:
The predecessor to the Mustang. My first and last Riceburner 5 speed, Lowered, 17" wheels, cat-back, intake, body kit (I was young, what can I say)
Crap on wheels 3 speed automatic. Blew the engine while flooring it from an intersection (not my pic...couldn't find one...but it looked just like this):
Did a lot of camping in this (Chevy Nomad). Takes about 1 minute to overtake a car (I've tried...it's scarry). Must have killed at least 10 billion mosquitos in it while camping up north
Chrysler Acclaim. Nothing special. What an average car (for an average guy): Again, not my pic, but same colour.
More crap on wheels. Did my driving test in this one. Ahhhh...memories. It's an Oldsmobile Omega. A real classic...NOT That's me and my brother at age 16. YEAHAAAAA!!!!!
First car I ever drove (when I was 10...) Little Dodge Colt stick shift, back in 1988. Not my pic...damn...I have to look for some of the old photos.
That's it. When I was 10, I never would have imagined that I'd be driving a C5 Vette.
So what are your stories?????

Awesome car to look at terrible car to own! Did have a nice set of HRE's on it though!
Think I will stick with my Z though better then all of them!

I would love to list all I have owned here but I honestly do not remember. Last time I checked the list was over 42 and that was back in 2005. I have owned multiple cars in multiple countries let alone multiple states.

In the same boat. Too many over the years and lived on both sides of the ocean. I probably have pics of all of them though. Wife says I'm bad about taking pics of every car I've bought.

Drifting
Too many to believe.................
I've owned well over three hundred , what are considered collector or collectable cars as of when I retired in June,1991. This is what I used to do, buy and sell. Restore and sell.
With the Corvettes I have had most ever C3 from 1969 thru '82. The last one I still have is a 1978 25th Anniverary that was modified with a 400 /th700r4/ 3:55 Painted white /red with red interior and Pace Car spoilers and rims. Spared no expense. The wife got excited about 'vettes when the C4 came out and we have had a bunch of them.
I still have a few, wished I could have kept most of them . Now I have just a few; the three (3) C5s (two FRC and Z06)[IMG][/IMG]
I kept the 1979 Trans Am convertible purchased new , now with 11,000 miles[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]
The 1987 Buick Grand National, purchased new , now with 26,000 I believe.[IMG][/IMG]
The 20th Anniversay 1984 1/4 Mustang GT350 again purchsed new , now with 55-56,000 miles. This has the GT-40 heads, headers, true dual exahust, 9inch diff w/3:50 traction lock, MotorSport suspension, roll bar, Koni, Gotti 3 piece rims and Dunlop SP9000 tires. My wife is a professional musican and has a killer Alpine system .[IMG][/IMG]
My 1951 Chevy two door 'Torpedo' with 35,000 original miles ,one owner car. I've had two other fastbacks '49 & '50 that were heavy lead sleds but this one is bone stock and get the thumbs up every time i go to town. Its a keeper.[IMG][/IMG]
I have others as well but after a while I find that one becomes possessed by their possessions. Like we just added another 40x60 building this summer to bring up the last of the vehicles from California. I don't have a lot of time left because of health conditions, which is why I keep only a few vehicles , but they still bring a smile to my face.
