OEM Radiator?
Hi guys,
My '00 coupe has been running pretty hot, and after noticing a pinkinsh liquid on my garage floor, I brought the car in for a diagnosis to a local Chevy dealership. The car has 88k on it, so I thought for sure I was looking at a water pump issue, but they're saying it's a cracked radiator.
They've quoted me at $500 for a new OEM part, but out of curiousity, a quick Google searched turned this up:

Thoughts? Too good to be true?
Thanks!
-Mike

If I was going to spend that kind of money I would get an aluminum upgraded one like the DeWitt. You should be fine with the one you posted though.

Yep. When my waterpump failed at 125k miles, I just went ahead and replaced both. The stock GM radiator looks more like a tranny cooler in size. The Dewitts looks like a real radiator and it performs too.

Since dealers are usually the highest place in town to have work done, it doesn't suprise me that they're high.

This past weekend, WKMCD replaced his radiator with a Dewitts. That thing is massive! Should cool anything on the road.
But, for a stock replacement, the one you show should be just fine. Just check to make certain it is for your application, A4 or M6/12.
