Might be a dumb question but will just the tensioner cause a squeal?
Guys,
I have now replaced my water pump so that pulley is new, harmonic balancer so that took care of that pulley.
New main belt tensioner pulley, new main belt idler pulley.
And, lol new AC belt idler and tensioner pulleys.
There IS STILL a slight squeal at around 1400ish RPM.
Could the squeal be coming from having a bad tensioner and is there anyway to tell if either one is bad?
Thanks so much!
Donnie

I'm assuming that you have also ruled out the belts themselves. Yes, the belt tensioner could cause a squeal if it is going bad.

Did you replace the belt too?
Did you replace all the IDLER pulley's?
I had replaced the tensioners but had one idler pulley making a racket, it was one I had missed.
So make sure you found them all and replaced all the pulleys and tensioners.
It also could very well be the ALTERNATOR that is squeeking or even the power steering pump, make sure you check these too with a Mechanics Steth as noted above
Plus yes it is possible that you have a bad "NEW" tensioner but it is more likely another componant being the culprit
Let us know your findings
Thanks,Matt

Wow that Katech piece is sweet! Too rich for my blood though.
Thanks so much for all the help, I'll definitely invest in one of those mechanics stethoscopes here soon and figure it out.
I did also replace both belts and I made sure and changed both idler and tensioner pulleys.
I'm an idiot and didn't think to run the car while I had either of the belts off so I could have at least narrowed it down to which drive was sqealing...
Thanks again!
