Texas Independence Day Parade, Austin TX (lots of pics)
The Longhorn Corvette Club and several CF member participated in the Texas Independence Day Parade today. It looked like rain, but it held off.
I love a parade!
First staging spot.
Something you don't see every day.
Second staging spot on the Congress Avenue bridge.
Some real horspower.
Congress Ave. is usually bustling with traffic. It's not possible to stop for pics, so I took advantage of the opportunity.
The Plungerettes!
Bob taming a wild buffalo.
The Texas state capitol as seen through a 2009 ZR1 hood.
The group as seen through the hood.

Heading up Congress towards the capitol. We were placed behind a small group from a Catholic school.
Jason pulled up for a photo op.
Then off to Joes Crab Shack for some lunch.
The view.
The crew.

Great pictures Larry, looked like a wonderful time. Glad the weather held out. Probably see you next Saturday at Bikini's. Hopefully it doesn't rain then either. Sometimes I wish I still lived in Austin.

Great pictures Larry, looks like fun! There's one of those boatcars on SW59th in OKC!
