Default Duralast Gold

I need a battery for my 01 6SP. Is anyone using a Durlast Gold? Anyone using an AC/Delco? Thanks.

I use a Durlast Gold and havent had a problem since. My battery is also in the rear of the Vette and my Vette sits a lot in the garage too.

Thanks, did you move yours to the rear?

Yes I did that cause I saw the computer in the lower fender. I didnt feel safe with that. So I moved the battery to the rear and moved my computer up where the battery was.

I only use Duralast Gold, and has never given me any problems. That is all I use in my vehicles.

I had a Duralast Gold in my '71 for just over 9 years. I would go 3,4 maybe 5 weeks between starts in the winter time and have to pump the pedal & crank it to get it started and that battery never let me down.
When it was time to replace my '99's AC Delco battery for the third time I went with the Duralast and hope that I have the same luck. No problems with fittment.
These c5's seem to be rough on batteries. Everyone raves about the Optima's but you can't beat the Duralast for the $$.

The last thing you want is a dead battery in your C5.

Thanks, I have one in my C4 and it's been good. The battery in my C5 was dead when I bought the car, has been charged several times, but now throws an error code. It's also a 65 ( put in by the dealer ) and should be a 75. I noticed some wierd issues coming up when the battery was going down.

Again thanks, Autozone is 2 minutes from my house, and I am hoping its just a 2 minute swap.

Sounds like I made a good choice. I had my original die on me mid trip and Autozone was my only real option at the time, so I picked up a gold.

For 3 years they will start your car no matter where you are, or how the battery discharged--like maybe the lights left on. (Be sure to register.) It goes bad in the first 36 months they hand you a new one, then prorate for the remaining 5 years. If you're on the road there's an AutoZone in every town. Hard to beat a deal like that.
