Default Recomended Corvette Mechanics in Maryland?

I have a few simple things to get taken care of. My horn currently is not working and is throwing a DTC B0026 LF/Driver Frontal Deployment Loop (Single Stage or Stage 1) Open code. I need somebody to root around in the steering wheel to see what is going on and I am not comfortable doing it myself.

Any recommendations?

In Frederick Maryland

Milex
Albert Daniel - 301-602-2591

Albert used to be THE Corvette mechanic at Criswell Chevrolet in Gaithersburg. He has since started his own care care business. He specializes in Corvettes and Lotus, but works on anything. He's a vette owner too. He has a silver Z06.
He has worked on just about every corvette owners car I know. As a matter of fact my car is at his shop right now for routine maintenance and Z06 springs.
He is a very trustworthy guy and his prices can't be beat.

Tell him Chris sent you.

Fox Chevrolet in Laurel. The head tech,. Bobby is a CF member and a corvette owner and a good guy. Ihad them swap out my steering wheel when I switched to a VE leather wrapped one. Evil_C5 knows him really well, and I know FLATOUT has used them a few times for Steering Wheel swaps.

I can also vouch for Albert. He's a nice guy, and he's worked on my car a number of times over the past 6 years.

Looks like Rick is in Frederick now...I know I read an old post. Any suggestions for an indy anywhere between Columbia and College Park? Thanks.

I recommend Gallant's Automotive in Bel Air, MD. The owner, Rob Metzger (a story on name difference) is a great vette mechanic and will give you straight advice and a fair price.

Bel Air isn't exactly between Columbia and College Park!

Maybe the aforementioned Fox Chevy in Laurel?

Good analysis. OP did not specify any location. Your Point?

I don't know anyone in the area you mention.
Rick Kim is definitely worth the drive. I won't let anyone else work on my '02 Z. Call him up if you have any questions.

Default The Best Shop within two hours of central MD

I cant believe I missed this thread. Tony's is the place I take my 03 zo6 for anything from an oil change to a rebuild (if I needed one). He literally has every generation of vette in his shop. His dyno is awesome, and has regular updates from GM, which not every mechanic can get. If you need to take your vette somewhere take it there and have it done right the first time. Besides that he stands behind his work and will fix anything that you are unhappy with.

I know rick Kim does FANTASTIC Transmission and Differential and drivetrain work. If he will work on your car,,, GO THERE!!

He is a stand up individual and he would be high on my list if I needed a Corvette Specialty Shop!
