There really isn't a whole lot out there unless you buy an adaptor to mount a 6speed handle, One thing I will tell you, I had a metal handel I bought and after 1 week I took it off and sold it, It got really hot, almost too hot to touch, I am back to a 2 tone stock handel....

I bought an adapter from MidAmerica a few years back. Then picked up a cue ball that I liked and drilled and tapped it. It's been working great ever since. Just push down and pull into gear.

Many vendors sell the A4 adapter kit and as was mentioned, you can then use any 9/16-18 (threaded) shift **** you want.

Glad you asked this question as I'm planning to replace the **** on my A4 also within the next weeks. I'm interested in seeing what turns up.

yyukon, is that a C6/A6 shifter ****, complete with the push button installed on a C5/A4? If so, that is what I want and need.

Was this a kit or was it hard to do? I love the button being in the front of the ****, it is like a gun.

Me too. What is it and is this an easy install if that is the "trigger" to replace the button type or have to buy the seperate install fitting.

Sorry no kit.

If you have good mechanical skills and some patience it is not to bad of a job. You have to remove the center console and shifter assembly from the car.Be very careful when removing the shifter to transmission cable. I broke my shift cable and it is a real pain to replace.

It is a c6/a6 on a c5/a4. Best thing to do is buy a complete c6/a6 shifter assembly (Boot, Shifter ****, Etc.)
and switch out the shifter shaft and **** assembly. c5/a4 pictured on top and c6/a6 pictured on bottom.

I did it the hard way and bought a parts only c6/a6 shifter. Then ordered a new shifter ****. I was missing some parts and had to improvise. See the link below and it will give you an idea of what is involved.

Any questions, just ask.
