Need to get a book...
And of course I did a search but searching for "Book" and combination there of came up with some interesting threads but nothing immediately useful.
Since I'll be doing some some of the maintenance on my own I'd like to have a good book (or set of books) for the car.
Whats my best bet for a 2003?

Helm Inc writes and publishes the Factory Service Manuals for Corvette. They'll run about 135 for the full set of three. The transmission set of two is separate.

You might want to peruse that big auction site - when I did a quick search using "2003 Corvette Service Manual" I found three sets for sale.
The complete set is three volumes. That's where I bought mine, and I spent about $50 for the set of three used. Didn't matter much to me if the pages were a little dog eared or had a greasy thumb print.

I'm getting there...making the initial "I'm stupid" posts....they will go away shortly.
I was telling hubby ...I wanna do this and this , and this....and he said "you better get a book"....my brain said "book!". Now I know it is a service manual...I have service manuals and parts books for my bike....but yep nothing came to me ...I need a "book"
My guess is I will next peruse the inevitable oil, jack, and tire threads....(promise not to start one)
Starting slow...necessities first..."book", jack pucks, etc....I just paid for the car...so I'm too poor to do much else right now. Did take it to Disneyland yesterday though .....

Don't apologize for asking stupid questions - they're not stupid. Contrary to what some members would like you to believe - none of us came out of the womb knowing what we know....we were all newbies once and we asked the same questions.
If you ever have a question that you are too embarrassed to ask - you are more than welcome to PM me and I will do my very best to get your answer. I work around some extremely knowledgeable mechanics all day long - and I would be happy to help you. I give you all the credit in the world for buying a manual and trying repairs yourself. Just remember - anytime....
