Custom Paint - Wife thinks I am crazy
Here is the before and after of my project to make this 50th my own. I was on the fence about the wheels, but I think they turned out great. The flags are a ghost effect so when I turn into a parking lot or around the corner, they disappear and reappear. Any comments or ideas to take it to the next level.

Way to go! Whether or not anyone agrees with you on the design isn't important. You like it and did it yourself. i admire guys who will try something different.
AND I like it. Subtle is good!

I will be there, I get to load on Friday night being a club member. The event is sold out and there will be over 300 vettes on the Lex flight deck. Should be an awesome event.

just curious, how do you remove it without re-painting the car. Are you able to strip that without damage to the base? what would you use to do that. Good work by the way

800 grit and sanding block. All I did is scuff the clear, then paint on the design and re-clear. You can wet sand back off to the original clear and shoot it again. I know because when I was shooting the drivers side I tripped and....well I had to sand it off and reshoot. My partner and I have a small business where we mostly do helmets, this is our 2nd car.

Sharp! Especially the part about being able to just sand and re-clear if you want to go back to stock Ghosting the Pace Car ribbons would be super sharp on an anniversary car.
Much more road rash and Ol Red will need some spraying. I've been thinking about ghost gold ribbons following the body line down the sides.

I admire your originality and skill to do such a mod. With that said, I agree with your wife as I think it looked better before you made the changes. It looked very clean and I'm biased probably because it's a 50th Anniversary edition.
As to taking it to the next level, there was a thread about 1 month ago where a forum member upgraded his interior with a Vette Essentials package. It looked incredible because they matched the Anniversary Red perfectly. I see you tinted the windows so maybe some internal customization is next.

Nice work. I think it looks great and you have done a great job. Got any more plans in the works?
I have never done anything like this to any of my vehicles. Got any hints you can share with us on how this is should be done?
