Default Rear brake ducts.

I have the Z06 rear brake ducts vents painted the body color on my vett. The paint on them really get chipped up. Does the carbon fiber brake ducts chip as bad as the ones that are painted?

The clear coat on them will get chipped eventually. I have a few chips in mine already. Ive had the carbon fiber ducts on for about two years.

I'd like to see some pics of your color matched ducts. Can you post some for us?

My stock black ones are totally chewed up,,,I don't feel so alone anymore. It is the reason however why I havn't upgraded to CF, I don't think they would last very long without chipping.

This is not my Vet, but when I saw this pic I was going to get my rear ducts painted. I'm not sure anymore after hearing about all the rock chips

The carbon fiber ducts will hold up longer than the stock plastic ones. No matter what you do, they all will get chips in them. I had the original ducts on there for about three years before I put the CF ducts on and they are really messed up.

Maybe the makers of Clearstatic could come up with a kit for the brake ducts.

They will get chipped eventually. While the painted ones look good, it's just a matter of time before they are covered with chip marks.
