Default Going Purple

So... I've done a lot of research and have been reading a lot on here, and I've decided to change my motor oil, differential oil, and tranny fluid over to Royal Purple. I've got just over 60K on my 01 Coupe now and I want to make sure I'm giving her the best protection possible.

My 1 - 2 shifts are starting to get a little stiff and I'm worried that I might have a wearing 2nd gear synchro. I typically match revs when I shift out of habit, but I'd rather make that synchro last as long as I can. A lot of people have commented that their transmission feels like a brand new one when they switch over to Royal Purple, I'm skeptical, but optimistic.

I've also recently noticed a little gear whine (especially in third gear), hence the reason for the switch in diff. fluid. I'm planning on having my old fluids flushed out and the Royal Purple put in on Monday. I'll post again after that with whether I notice any difference.

I have been using Royal Purple in my boosted vette for 15k. Engine oil I change by 2k so no report here. I just did the first MN6 and Diff change, what I noticed was the MN6 was still clean and the diff was dirty so about 15k will be my changes. Better shifts and quieter diff was noted when I first did the change

Hey Steve how much noise was the Diff making before the change. Mine is making a noise and it is driving me nuts. I've been told it was because of wear in the gears any thoughts?

Mine only made the normal noise and after the change it was quieter, if yours is real noisy yes you have some wear in the gears. I now have a little more wear on the gears and a tad more noise again, but with all the extra HP I have on tap it is not bad, but on the street I normally run treaded tires to keep from breaking stuff, so far so good

Default Update

So... I had it put in and am very satisfied with the results. The shifts are much smoother and I have much less gear whine than I did before. Overall, I'm very happy with Royal Purple.

I've used RP ever since my rebuild of the engine, about 15k miles now, it's also in the tranny, differential. Very satisfied.
