C5 'Set Memory Seat
I'm a first time user of this forum, just bought my 2002 corvette last week and can't figure out how to set the memory position when the key is removed from the ignition. Both keys (#1 & #2) have different settings after the keys have been removed. Previous owner had the #1 key set to retract all the way to the back position. I've read the manual numerous times and no instrutions that I can find. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The seat will always move back for easy exit and enter unless you turn it off in the DIC.

Good information. I have had my Corvette for the whole summer and am still learning new things about it through this forum. I didn't know the climate setting was saved as well with the seat position and mirrors. Now moving into the colder months every time I turn on the car, "damn it why is the AC on? I know I turned it off last time."
now I know.
now I know.

I don't want it to retract all the way back, key #2 doesn't. It retracts to about half the distance key #1 does. So I'm assuming you can set it to retract as far as you want.

I think it is called easy entry, You have to turn it off.
I thought the drivers side went back farther because of the steering wheel.

OK, When I bought my vette in 2013 It didn't have a key fob with it, So I bought one off ebay, but only one, So when I originally programmed it to work with my car...Is it the #1 or the #2 key fob? My car wont tell me...lol, I'm guessing it's the #1 fob. I don't remember what the DIC told me when I programmed the fob. Just trying to program my memory settings as you described here, Thanks, CorvetteBob

You can program up to three key fobs. Their "number" is determined by the order of sequence they're programmed. Since you've only programmed one fob, it's Number One.

With the seat all the way back on the C5 I can not fully depress the clutch to start the car.

Good evening, I just purchased a 2003 convertible. One owner with 21,000 original miles. The car is perfect. I'm having an issue with the personal settings. Since the car arrived, I've only used one of the fobs. The other one is in a drawer about 20 feet from where the car is parked in case that matters. I previously had a 99, so I'm familiar with the settings. When I set the pre-sets for everything the light flashes as it should, but if I turn the car off, remove the key nothing holds it position. In fact, the driver side mirror actually forcefully turns in a direction where it starts clicking because it cannot go in that direction any further. Any help would be appreciated.
