I had a 92 Dodge Stealth twin turbo AWD/AWS. 3900#. Yes it was fun at 375 hp, but is miles behind the handling of the Corvette.

RWD is one of the dictated principles of a Corvette. You may as well ask, "Why don't they make a FWD Corvette?" Or how about a turbo 4 banger?

If it were AWD it wouldn't be a Corvette anymore.
