Reason I'm asking is that I have kindof a complicated question. Currently I am in the process of modding the crap out of my snowmobile and I wanna get some insurance on it. I have found a company that will insure it for all the work that I am doing, however there is a catch and here it is:
Full coverage with collision right now is $350/yr
Fire and Theft for $28k is $360/yr
Add collision for the total $28k and it is $2200/yr!!! For a snowmobile.

Now what I wanna know is, can I have fire and theft for the full amount of $28K and then just insure collision for the original amount so my total payments aren't soo insane? Can I insure the collision for the original $10K?

Or currently I have my insurance at one company and for full coverage it is $350/yr, can I keep that and insure the fire and theft at the other company that will do it for the full $28K at $360/yr? That is if the second company won't just insure collision for the original amount. So technically I have two insurance policies for one vehicle.
