I need a new acrylic targa top
I have read good things about Melrose tops and bad about Thompson. Anybody heard or dealt with a company called The Last Detail Corvette Parts?

Haven't heard of them. You might try the parts for sale section as sometimes a top is posted up for sale there. Also, try one of the used Corvette parts vendors listed on the forum.

Taber Corvette Parts and Ameripol-Buyer Beware
the worst quality and even worse service-guy told me to sue him and hung up. 4 tops not one of them had glass that even rolled around the edges-they just stick out and leak.

I saw Melrose at Bloomington Gold and they looked pretty nice. It's weird though how it's hard to find opinions on them. I ended up finding a used one a couple years ago in good shape.

Astro Top and Melrose are both junk as is their customer service. If you have a problem with their top failing, both companies will run down a list of things to blame the customer.
My Astro Top seperated from the frame, though it was on there for several years. Sent the top to Melrose for them to put a new lense and weatherstripping on. Melrose said I didn't need to adjust anything, and the top passed their dollar bill test for tightness when installed on the car.
As soon as the summer started, the Melrose top warped where it was glued to the frame. Then with the top not even 8 months old, it cracked and split open one night. Didn't even have 500 miles on it. Melrose's response was buy another one as once their tops are out the door, then you are on your own.
Searched around and found several others with Melrose tops who warped and cracked just like mine. And theirs were installed by Melrose. These top companies must make a ton of money as they aren't responsable for the bad tops they make when they can just blame the customer.
