C5 Front Bumper Mask (Bra) Pics
Does anyone have this Stretch nylon knit construction Bra? I kinda like the look over the standard Bra but wondering how durable this is and if it's worth it at a price of $135. Any input greatly appreciated!

I guess the advantage to that bra is that is folds down into a very compact package for storage, can be run in the rain and machine washed to clean. But I can't see it holding up very well to repeated rock strikes - I would think the fabric would get holes in it and separate - but I could be wrong on that.
To me, the $135 cost is too high. I went with a GM bra for mine and while more bulky and not recommended for use in rain, it provides great protection for the front end of the car at a price that is hard to beat (about $78 from gmpartshouse.com). Install is easy once you get the snaps installed and get the vinyl warmed up for the initial install.

Safety Car
I have one. I commute from Orlando to the Space Center daily and usually leave the house around 6 AM. Driving across the lowlands to the coast I pick up lots of little "night" bugs. It protects the nose fairly well from those. I have been using it off and on for around 3 months, and it is easy to install and and remove. It is fine in the rain, and so far it has held up well. I remove it and throw it in the washer and spread it out on the patio to dry. Time will tell how it does when love bug season arrives. It does have a one year warranty. Even if I have to replace it every year or so, it is not too big of a deal.

We have them on our 3 Vettes...
They last 2 or more seasons... depending on how much you drive and whether you leave it on when not driving.
UV rays deteriorate the lycra which then leads to sagging, flapping and wear .
My '01 has seen 50+ miles in the last 5 seasons. I am on my second stretch bra. It should last at least 1 more season.
The one on my wife's '04 which is not a daily driver, looks new after 2 seasons and should last indefinitely.

I like mine
I bought mine from Southern Car Parts, and really like it. It's easy to install, and breeze to take off and on. It washes well. I don't believe it would be much protection from rock chips, but works GREAT on bugs.

For those of you who have purchased it, is $135 sound about right? Vetteman Jack stated it was a bit high and I'm a bit strapped for cash right now, so I was hoping to find it for less or maybe there is a vendor here that I can support?
Thanks for all of your comments guys. I'm convinced to get one & now just shopping for the right price.

Let me jump on the bandwagon. I have one as well along with the matching mirror covers. Love it. I don't leave the pieces on....just when I have long trips. EZ on and Off. Price by comparison IMHO is not that bad especially when you factor in the ease and flexibility of use. Good luck

If I was looking for protection from small bugs only, this is something I'd consider. I knew that rock chips would be an inevitable likelihood though.
I chose SPEED LINGERIE for the triple thickness and I'm glad I did. It's stopped rocks and alligators from damaging the front end (and bra).

Ordered it
Well I ended up ordering it so let's see how it goes. Have 30 Day Full Refund if I am not satisfied and I think I got a good deal. Picked up the Bra and Mirror Covers for $139 shipped. I'll post some pics and a short write up on the install and end result. My Z is black so it should look good.
