I'm thinking of doing the same thing with some engine covers on mine - torch red for some color and IMO it would go well with a blue exterior.

I need to re-touch my brake calipers too; it has been three years since I painted them, and I have a couple of rock chips on them. I was thinking about using the same red-caliper paint on them.

One of the things I had done to my old C5 that I really liked were the Carbon Fibre wheel well covers seen in the picture below. That is one part of the engine bay that never seems to look right when left stock...
I presently own a 2008 Z06 and as far as aesthetics go, the C5 engine bays looks so much nicer....

Yeah, they do look flat specially if they get water drops on them it's a PITA to get them off.
