Default No reverse on mn6

Just replaced clutch in my 2000 coupe. Now reverse is locked out completely. All the plugs are in. Any advice would help.

I was having trouble with reverse lockout a couple months back. The tranny shop checked the solenoid and all was fine. Turned out it was a low voltage issue. They put in a new battery and reverse has worked perfectly for two months. Try this, rev the motor a bit (bring alternator voltage up) and see if it slides in. Good luck.

Had the same issue once after doing a clutch and we discovered we had bent one of the pins in the reverse solenoid connector.

Started mine a couple days ago and it would not go into reverse, never any problem before. I pulled the codes and then cleared them and all is ok now. Just a thought, cheers

Well, it's all back together after another 8 hours working on it today. i charged the battery and that helped it start easier, but still wouldn't go into rev. when my friend got there to help, we tried again and this time it worked. only thing I did was loosen the shifter bolts and retighten them. strange. only thing I can figure is that it was a voltage issue. either way, it works now.
thanks for the suggestions!

Sounds like you did not align the shifter correctly.

I agree with the shifter alignment. Follow the above posted procedure to make sure its done correctly.
