Default Kumho Ecsta MX XRP or Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus ZP????

Time to get new tires and TireRack has a deal on these Michelins.

I've been running the Kumhos for the last two set of tires and have always been very satisfied with both the performance and obviously the price. My only complaint is that I only get 22-24K out of them. People say that's about average for them. I don't abuse the tires and am a pretty sensible driver when it comes to not wasting rubber.

When I was checking Tire Rack and found these Michelin for almost the same price as the Kumhos (actually less if you count the $70 rebate you get with the Michelins). Tire Rack also said that the Michelin's also come with a 45K pro-rated warranty....told me that if they wear prematurely (and on both side front or back at the same time, then the warranty would apply.

I've never heard anything bad about Michelins but I want to make sure there's not something I'm missing before I buy them.

Any comments, recommendations or complaints about the Michelins?????

Thanks for any feedback you can give me.

Michelins seem to be the popular choice on the forum

I just got the Michelins PS A/S Plus ZP's installed on Monday and I think they are a nice tire. I was concerned with the overall look of the tire when compared to the Goodyears. I think the Michelin's look pretty good overall. If you want high res picts on the C5 thin spokes just let me know. The warranty on vette tires was a nice surprise.

I just got a set of Pilot Sport Plus ZP (run flats) from Discount Direct $936 for the tires and TPMS rebuild kit. No sales tax if they ship direct to you. $68 to install and got a $70 rebate. A very good deal. They arrived in two days. I made an appointment to have them installed the same day they arrived and the installation took less than an hour. I'd use them again.

New set of tires is the first thing I need to do when I get my 03 roadster off the rack and out of the garage. Been debating between the OEM GYs and the PS ZPs - looking at the summer version instead of all-season since mine in a fair-weather driver.

I'd be interested in seeing how the pilot sports look mounted.

Thanks
