Default How to Repair that $41 Door Reflector for 41 Cents

Hey guys. My stupid door panel reflector broke. The two little ears broke off and the reflector fell out. This has happened to me twice; The first time I just replaced the reflector. The second time I repaired it.

Here is what I did:

awesome should be in the diy section. Also what is the point of the reflectors? I figure by the time you open your door and someone is coming at you it will be to late and your door would get hit anyways.

Neat, I just used velcro tape on the back of my broken reflector.

Good work! There's lots of ways to skin this cat...

Happened to me yesterday. One of the ears had broken off ages ago; then yesterday number two broke off. By dumb luck I still had both ears, however. They were both hiding behind the door panel.

So all that was needed was a tube of plastic model cement and about 5 minutes of drying time. Good as new!

Another chincey part that should have been lights! I'm surprised we have not seen lenses that light up when you open the door from the after market yet.

41¢... I really was not wanting to exceed 39¢.

Good solution.

On mine I just epoxied some free metal picture frame spring clips to mine - they are just strong enough to not come loose unless you get a screwdriver and pull on them.
