Default Got a chance to really test the Z today.

Man, what a ride it is! Factory stock and on worn out GoodYears, it ran 5.89 in the 420-foot slalom, produced .96 G on the skid, stopped from 60 to 0 in 112 feet, and ran 12.40s at 112 mph. Best part - we had the air on and music going for the drive home.

I'm planning to test everything again on a fresh set of NT05's. This should be interesting.

Thanks guys, the weather was near perfect today at 72 degrees. Getting out of the hole was tricky, but I ended up launching around 2,300 and really slipped the clutch. Once it got up to speed, there was a little spin hitting second, but really easy to keep it wooded and just drive through it.

Outstanding!

Actually, your worn out tires may have helped you in a catagory or two.

Nice picture, and great story. Sounds like you had a blast putting your car through the paces. Almost like it was built just for such an event...

I just heard from a friend of mine who is knee deep in snow right now. I love the cold, but I couldn't handle it, heh.

Also got the NT05's mounted today. I've always enjoyed how the car drove, but these are much quieter and significantly smoother.

The real test comes in a couple of weeks, when we redo the slalom, 60 to 0, and skidpad.

Sorry, been a little slow on this one, but for anyone that's interested, the NT05 numbers were great. Actually, I wouldn't have believed it unless I saw it myself - NT05's over the factory rollers dropped the 60 to 0 distance from 112 to 104 feet. We also dropped a tenth in the slalom and got a bit more grip, going from .96 to .99 on the skidpad.

More recently, I have to thank Anthony from LG Motorsports for getting me in touch with Lou, and we'll have additional testing coming up with their coilover and swaybar package.

Also, this weekend, we headed up to the autocross in Las Vegas and what a blast that was. I even had my gf try it for the first time and she's hooked. Looks like we'll hit up the Run To The Coast event the first weekend of April, then hit up the GoodGuys event in Del Mar right after.

Here's a shot from yesterday - the dainty hand is the gf's and I was the monkey behind the camera, lol.
