Just finished converting my 99 FRC into a Z06 Clone
Well I bought the car last year in August, and took off from there.
I was lucky in finding many parts, especially the z06 engine I pulled from a wrecked z06 from a salvage auto auction yard. Thanks to Mike in Riverside for the Mod Red Interior, Steve in Forrest City for the z06 seats.
Here is the car, the day I bought it.
And now how it looks now :

Car looks awesome, great job.
Just out of curiosity, if you had to do it over again, would you just buy the Z06 to begin with? I'm thinking that couldn't have been that cheap to do, and it looks like a lot of work!

Car looks great.
But no need to Fobra, or Faleen out an FRC C5. Sweet car as is. Personally, I would like to remove the Z06 badges from my Z06. Definetly would not go so far as to put fake floor mats in my car. I'd rather have a nice FRC that is rare compared to a Z06 that has similar performance and is a commen car. But to each, his own.

Interesting. As far as clones go, I don't think i've seen one more thorough.

I don't get why people try to make their car something it's not.
An FRC is a special Corvette IMO, why try to pass it off as something different.
Like previously stated, take the badges off then it willl be a lot better.

Car looks great and bet it is fun having the extra power of the Z06 engine. But I tend to agree - it's not a Z06 so the badges are a little too much. But if you like it, that's all that matters.

Nice car but you don't need no stinking badges!
