Default Tire Repair kit?

What's the consensus on a roadside tire repair kit for those running conventional tires (not run flats)?

I put together a few things that I "hope" will get me by.

Tire Plug kit with "T" handle for ease of use.

Small pair of plyers to pull out nail or screw.

Small compressor, not all that fancy, just reliable.

Small flashlight, I use the one that came with the car in the Owner's Manual packet.

Cell Phone.........enough said.

Good Luck

Ditto but no pliers. I'm going downstairs right now to add them.

Great choices to have stored back there just in case. May have to add to mine, just in case.

When I ran non-runflats - I bought a tire plug kit from Wal-Mart, a Campbell-Hausfield portable air compressor and had emergency road service on my car's insurance policy plus a cell phone.

As far as I understand it, if you use the "SLIME" kit you will ruin your tire pressure sensors. I originally went this route, but then went out and bought a tire plug kit with a portable air compressor. Just like the other posts have suggested.

I bought a GoodYear I4000 small air compressor, a small tire repair kit, I have AAA and my cell phone. Hopefully none of us will have to use this stuff.

Does anyone really care, if your broke down with a flat along a busy road with no shoulder, that your "slime kit" may damage your air pressure sensor? For me, it's get the dang tire inflated and drive out of the situation. Buy a replacement sensor if necessary. Get real here, is the safety of you, your passenger and your car not worth a hundred dollars or so?

"SLIME" is the name of the company. They do make a goo that is not recommended for use with TPMS. The kit I refer to has complete plug kit, compressor, pressure gage, safety reflectors, carry case, etc. And a bottle of goo that you don't have to use.
