Default add AUX input to your c5 for less than $10 bucks

I have had my C5 for years now and this thread some how eluded me. For any of you guys looking to add and AUX input to your stock head unit this is the thread:

http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/stereo...t-adapter.html

Keep in mind that anything that uses a 3.5mm (1/8") jack can be played thru this AUX input. (i.e. cell phone, ipod, mp3 player, pocket pc's, laptop, etc.)

For clarification purposes it IS wire 1 and 3 that carry the sound.

I did this on my 99 TA I had before my Vette. It worked OK but the little radio shack jack was iffy on mine (and I tried two different jacks). I would often have to wiggle the 3.5mm cable plugged into the jack to get the connection working.

I like the peripheral pxdx unit I installed in my Vette much better. $80ish well spent IMO. Works 100% w/ my Zune or any other standard MP3 player with 3.5mm headphone jack.
