New GM bra, new General tires!
Just figured I'd post some pics showing the GM bra (From GMPartsHouse) as well as the new General Exclaim UHP tires.
At first I thought bra would not fit, it was that much smaller but jeez this thing really stretched. Thanks again Patrick @ GMPartsHouse, great people to deal with.
After about 1 month with these General Exclaims I must say they are a GREAT tire for the money. Extremely quiet compared to the BFGoodrich tires on before.

Looking good. I bought a GM bra back in November and like you, I thought it would never stretch over the front of the car. But now that I have put it on a few times, it is getting easier and easier to install.

About 500 miles give or take, I made a fast turn this week and they held on tight with absolutely no drama. Really brings up the confidence!
After driving in my car a friend decided to buy the same UHP's for their Honda Civic, he loves them just as much.

I got mine in the summertime. Left it in sun for about 1/2 before install. Was much easier to get on once it heated up.
I wonder how long GM is going to have C5 bra's in stock. I'd think they'll become harder too find soon. That's why I bought one a couple of years ago. Today the price is right but when they become scarce, I'd think they'll become more expensive; especially if you can find a new one.
..rickko..
PS. Looks good on white!

For the most part, its close to 90 degrees out right now and I keep stretching it a little bit more every so often throughout the day today, I'd say there is about half an inch exposed but its giving slack and allowing me to cover it completely.

It looks great! Do these things flap around at highway speeds? What about when it rains and they get wet?
We're planning a trip to TX from NC and it sure would be nice to minimize the bug guts and road grit.

The only design of the bra that I don't like is the flap that tucks in the inner/outer fender...although even that isn't horrible, I would have just preferred a 3rd snap.
I plan to keep this in the trunk and use it when I know I'm about to hit the highway (which is just about anything in south Florida, I75,I95,595) the manual says to take it off once a month at least as well as taking it off when its wet until dry. If your careful it won't do any harm, just keep the car and bra clean.

Usually not a big fan of bras, but the contrast makes it stand out nicely on your white vette.
FYI...Make sure to check it regularly for crud getting underneath it. The trapped dirt will grind on your paint.
