Default changing blow off valve (bov) for supercharger

What work is involved to change an ECS paxton novi 2000 BOV to a Tial 50mm?

Do I need other parts and what kind of labor is involved to change it out?

Just drop the J tube and weld on the Tial flange and your all set.

The Tials are pretty substantially louder than the Bosch that comes with our kits. Personally, I like them, but some say they are too loud.

A couple of Vids from you tube....

I have a Tial 50 on my car. The guys at ECS fitted it for me last year. To be honest it's a bit loud and obnoxious (fun though sometimes). I nearly scared an old lady on my street to death the other day At some point I think I will go with something a bit more subdued. Is the Tial Q louder or quieter?

How much boost can the Tial 50mm handle? I'm looking around 18-20lbs.

The tial will easily handle the 18-20 psi.

Has anyone ever adapted the synapse synchronic to a supercharger?

Not sure, although I have heard great things about Synapse BOVs. I may have to try one out in the near future, and the flange looks very similiar to Tial, which is what I run now...

I ran the synapse on my last car and it performed 100% flawlessly. I replaced the hks valve that was on there and it was a noticeable difference in response. Fantastic piece. They come with all sorts of options for flanges. Basically, whatever valve you're replacing...you get that specific adaptor and it bolts right up. Very clever.

Just found a video of one on an s2000, seems to work just dandy

I had the Synapse on my last car - although turbo'd, you can still get a solid idea of what it sounded like:

Crazy how much different mine sounded. I had a built mr2 pushing a lot of boost and it was significantly louder and a bit more chirpy than that. had the same lightning fast response and snapping sound though. Thanks for the vid!

Inside with the windows up it's not too bad but you really notice it when the windows are down. You notice it more when your are accelerating hard. Then it sounds like you unplugged a air hose with every shift. Acutally it's kind of neat and grows on you. If you are interested is quite then don't do it, stay with the smaller valve. Normal driving until you get into crusing speed you hear a constant swishhhh until you give it gas and the value closes until you let up again then back to the swishhhh. That is the best I can explain it, hope this helps

Are you venting it? It should be plenty loud. Turbosmart won't be any louder. If you want loud loud get the turboxs rfl.

I called Tial and talked to their tech dept. I got a number for one of their vendors and bought a Tial Q with a #3 spring for 250.00
