C5 Z06 vs C6 Grand Sport vs C6 Z07

I know this is the C5 forum and we all love our C5's, but we all know that the C5 Z06 even with new tires would not run with the Z06 Carbon and probably not even with the GS. We are talking 430 HP on the GS and 505??? on the Z06 Carbon compared to the 405 HP on the C5 Z06.

From what I was reading, the C5 Z06 did run neck and neck with the C6 GS - at least through the quarter mile and 0-60. I'd say it performed very well considering it is an 8 year old car.

I've watched that a couple times already.
The C5 Z06 is matches well with the C6 Grand Sport. The Grand Sport has 430HP vs the 405 in the C5 Z06 and the C5 Z06 is lighter. The numbers in the video for the C5z06 and C6 Grand Sport matched. With better tires, the C5 Z06 would actually be faster due to lighter weight.-IMO.
The C6 Z06 Carbon would of course beat the C5 Z06. The C6 Z06 carbon is the best of the C6 Z06 and the Zr1.
All three are great cars.

C5Z still an awesome car. That was a fun video to watch. Too bad, they didn't have better tires on the C5Z. Though the video leaves me craving a C6Z.

Wanna have some fun, post this over in the C6 Gen section..the GS folks will have a cow and eat this up, like stirring the bee hive. There are some of them that actually believe the GS outperforms or is almost equal to the C6Z
Don't get me wrong, I love the GS, but some are living in a fantasy world thinking they bought a C6Z for 20k less
As others have said, the C5Z is still an amazing car...heck add a set of longtube headers, a CAI and Tune, and you are running same power as stock LS3.

Power to weight ratio keeps the C5 Z06 in the game. It's still a great performing Corvette and alot of bang for the buck Imagine if it had new tires
