I like the car and have considered building one myself, but, I would buy a wrecked C5 for the project as opposed to taking apart my Corvette.
Sometimes you can find GTM parts kits on ebay. They are usually a huge box of C5 parts put together specifically for the kit. Good luck!

Factory Five racing doesn't recommend that you buy kits off ebay to build the GTM, Ebay is full of fraudulent people now adays also and with paypal not protecting it's buyers and sellers no telling what could happen. I used to buy on there years ago but won't anymore. I came across this site called ebayblows.org and paypalblows.org and they have a lot of really good information and videos on there to check out.

I would just use my C5 as a donor because I don't really have that much money into it. I bought wheels, tires, new sound system and that was about it. The GTM looks like a fun project. I wouldn't rely on a box of parts sent to me from someone on ebay but thanks for the information, I did check those links out and it looks like those kits just by looking at the photos are not totally complete. God forbid If I was putting something on the car and couldn't find it or didn't have it, I would be screwed and pissed.

That is one badazz looking car. If you do build one, please be sure and document what you did with pics.

They are very hot! I would love to have/build one, but money won't allow it at this time.

I would love to build one of these. I just don't have the room in my garage right now...

But if I did, I'd just go pick up a wrecked Z06 and I can get a good deal on a G50/21 trans from the Porsche place I used to work for.

The GTM is a true supercar, but I'd never pull apart my own Z06 for it.
