Do you have a black leather wrapped "piston type" with the correct Corvette "6-speed pattern" on it?

Corvette Grand Sport Billiard Style Shift *****?
Cutting down the C5 shift lever to any height you want is not hard, once you decide to ditch the OEM shift ****. You need a 9/16 18tpi national fine die to extend the thread, a hacksaw to chop off what you don't want, a pair of grips to hold the shaft so you don't put stress on the shifter when cutting and dieing, and some lube - cutting oil ideal, but grease will get the job done.

Then pick whichever of these great looking ***** you like, and as long as it has the regular C5 9/16 thread you are good to go. Use either a locknut or teflon tape to stop the **** turning once you have it where you want it.

Has anyone used the stainless steel shift ****? Does is seem to have a smoother shift motion? Weighing 1.2lbs, is there a chance that with that much dead weight and the repetitive action of a 6-speed manual that it could have a negative effect on the shift linkage?
Regards,

Terry

The stainless sphere **** is the most commonly ordered type and no one has ever voiced any complaints to me...maybe someone else will speak up?

Thanks,
Dave

I just used a small screwdriver and popped it out. It should slide straight out.

Default custom ****

Very happy with the look and feel of the manual shift **** installed on the anne. The **** is very comfortable and quite a looker, especially at night when the shift pattern is illuminated with a blue led.

Where in the world did you get that? I've been looking for a nice, leather wrapped shift **** for my C5Z but can't find anything I like. I tried the C6 **** for a while, and loved the look, but it was just too small for my hand.

Personally I love the GTO shift *****, this reminds me of that quite a bit.
