Glove Box Latch
My wife opened the glove box on her 99 vert (23000 miles) and the handle fell off in her hand. Looks as thought a small plastic piece of the hindge that held it in place cracked off. I called Chevy and the fix is to replace the glove box door, which is discontinued, and transfer the hardware to the new unavailable door. I don't think glue is an option. The broken piece is quite small and I don't think it would hold up even if I could get it to stay. I ran a search for Glove Box and nothing similar came up. Any help?

Go to the C5 parts/wanted section on the Forum and you can do a search or start a thread for a glove box door!! There are allot of people in there that have parts just laying around!!

When you do get around to getting a new latch, you'll want to switch the lock cylinders so that your key will continue to work with the new latch.
Removing the cylinder is pretty straight forward, but you MUST have the key. If not, a locksmith can do it for you for maybe $15, or less. I would ask the person who ends up selling you the latch, to remove the cylinder since they should have the key for it. Then when you get the latch, you can remove YOUR cylinder from your broken latch and pop it into the new one.
Good luck with finding one! Eventually a glove box will pop up for sale; or better yet, post a WANTED ad in the For-Sale section. There's probably somebody with one in their closet who hasn't listed it for sale. What color do you need?
Here's how to remove the cylinder:

My glove box does the same thing--ever since I bought it...
If you pull the latch back manually w/ your finger, then hold it in-place from behind, insert the handle in the proper position, it'll grab and hold in-place. At least mine does...
Mines been like this 4+ years and very few times has it come off on it's own, I never use the glove box, so no big deal. When it does come off it's usually a passanger that taps it w/ there knee. It's never fell on it's own due to road bumps...
Could be that mine is bearly broken and that's why this works for me, but just thought I'd point it out as something you might want to try.
