Whats the difference? Side by side stock bezel vs double din
I get asked alot on what is the difference from a stock 1.5 din radio bezel versus a modified double din bezel. So I had the camera out this afternoon taking a pic of a couple new projects(
) and took a pic of a stock nuetral bezel and compared it to a modified nuetral double din bezel I just finished setting side by side.
For those that didn't know, the opening is not only taller from top to bottom, but the sides are shorter as well.
This is the reason when converting to a double din in dash nav/dvd the bezel needs to be modified in order to allow for the fitment of the new head unit.
I hope this helps for those of you out there that were not exactly sure what the difference was.

Yep, the one on the left is the same as the one I got from Dennis at the beginning of 2009. My new Kenwood system blows the Bose (or is that blows the Blose?) system away!
Superior sound, Garmin GPS, Ipod with 2,000 tunes and counting, Blue Tooth etc. Best mod I have made to date.

Looks good. What comes in the bezels? Do the modified bezels have the cigarette lighter recepticle installed? The ashtray? Do you have to pull that stuff from the stock bezel.
