Default Nassau Blue FRC Pics

I noticed it's been a while since I've been active, mostly been lurking recently. Anyways, here are some pictures of my corvette through the past 2 years since I picked it up in May 08.

The day i bought it

I'm a big Corvette Racing fan, but didn't want to ruin my car with stickers... so I went somewhere a lil different.

Within 6 months I was out at Spring Mountain. It was AWESOME! Going again in a couple weeks actually.

Rockin the wagon wheels with runflats. Pretty good tire to go out on for the first time. Definitely were talkative, helped me learn the limits of the tire and use of the throttle. I'm curious to see how my Nitto Invo's compare when I go in a couple weeks back to spring mountain.

In a parking structure real quick after staying the weekend in Long Beach to watch the American Le Mans Series race earlier this year.

So since I bought the car, I took off the wagon wheels and the wolverine blades behind the front wheels.
I bought a black out kit for the car and REALLY enjoyed the look, but after about a year, I started worrying about the fact that if I got in an accident, potentially it could be my fault do to not being able to see my lights (illegal in CA, probably everywhere to black out). So they are currently off waiting to be sold or go back on.
I decided to buy some corner lights with black surrounds instead of the stock corner lights. That will do for now

My car has basically remained stock. I installed a C6 Z06 shifter, bought the c6 rims and got them powdercoated, installed new rubber (Nitto Invo's) and installed some better pads and fluids. That's the most I wanted to do while I was learning the car and doing other life stuff (saving money, buying a house, getting married). Now that the honeymoon is over, I have some play money : )

If anything I would like to buy a Vararam intake, and then invest in suspension upgrades. I hate the 4x4 look, but I do not want to lower on stock bolts and risk messing with the suspension settings for those occasions when I drive it like I stole it!

I'm debating if coilovers is the way to go versus C6 Z06 shocks and C6 Z51 Swaybars. I love to go on spirited runs through the canyons and mountains, and see more track days in my future. The car is also my daily driver. Any input?

Hope you guys enjoy the pics! I sure do enjoy the car!

Looks great with the powder coated rims. I installed a Vararam, and its easily the best performance bang for the buck.

Love the color.

Glad you removed the black outs. I'd be paranoid too, it's bad enough keeping people off your tail much less give them less notice upon braking.

I prefer the stock height too, lots of people like to lower them. Z51 is a nice upgrade. I did the C6 Z06 shifter too, major improvement.

That's extra cool you got to do Spring Mountain.

Very nice car and I like that you're having fun with it at the track...

Glad to hear the black out kit is gone, wise move. What you say about it is 100% correct, PLUS I don't think you want guys at the track not noticing your brake lights..... I know I know, good racers should not be looking at brake lights, but at HPDE's the reality is that many do....

I was also glad to see those whatever you call those slats coming out of the gills on the front fenders missing in the later pics..

As for lowering the car, you will not hurt the suspension by lowering but will slightly improve the cars cornering at the track... You would for sure want to have a 4 wheel alignment done after lowering. You should have a 4 wheel alignment done on ocassion anyway to keep the car straight and true. If you align the car properly it will feel like a new car... A good shop will add weight in the driver seat equal to your weight while donig the alignment.

Keep on enjoying the car and be safe....

I think black rims is the chrome of my generation. I get the same response from people over 40 all the time I'll admit that the rims in your nassau blue pic you posted look good though

I was about to say how refreshing is it to see someone who kept the good ol' Wagon Wheels and then ..... well oh ...

Just not a fan of the slam, tint and black out club.

Oh wait, it's your friggin' car!!! What I think is worthless!!
