Default GM part number for lunbar side seat bladders

I am trying to locate the gm part number for the side seat lunbar bladders for 2000 c5. Both of my bladders tips on the bladders are broken and I am trying to purchase the bladders if that is possible ?

I looked them up on www.gmpartshouse.com once before and quickly saw they are terribly expensive. I've read here in the forum that the usual cause of them failing is a cracked line going to them, inside the seat itself. Since I just received my '99 back from my son and I need to have the driver's seat leather repaired, I'm going to be looking at the line in there to the bladder to see how its done and possibly repair it.

Ok keep me posted please you are right i talked to dealership and they quoted me 500 plus dollars to just buy the bags. The tips on my bags are broken and they cant be repaired so we are looking for other options but 500 plus for some plastic bags that makes no sense .

Search the forum, there's one guy who cleverly used 'blood pressure' bags in-place of the stock bladders.

Just a thought...

I did it a couple of years ago. The cuffs from Wallyworld cost $10 each. They work great!

Just did mine this past weekend. Unlike they guy in the article mine were actually ripped at the seam. The wally world solution worked great, and if they die a couple of years later, so what.

Thanks for the referral. If you end up having to go the new route, I'd be happy at the opportunity to earn your business.

The high price certainly is not Gene Culley's fault in the slightest, its GM's. As more of these fail, maybe GM will sell more therefore possibly lowering the cost but then again, the C-5 is becoming dated as for hanging onto replacement parts for GM and that alone costs money too.

The blood pressure cuffs supposedly work very well. I'd sure give that a try first.
